The Story I’ll Tell
Last year on December 31, 2018 I titled my journal entry “The Story I’ll Tell”. You see every time we go into a new year we never really know everything that is going to happen. We can plan and expect but life tends to throw curve balls at us every time.
Now a year later my oh my do I have a story to tell! It’s a beautiful story of God’s faithfulness and love for me. A story of all my mess ups and all His grace for me. A story of me stepping out onto the water and Him not letting me go under.
The beautiful thing is every person has a unique story to tell. But will we embrace the story that God is writing in our life? No matter how that story plays out it is ours and God wants to get the glory from it. We should find comfort in knowing that no matter our story God never means for any of us to go through it alone. We have God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit helping us along the way.
So today journal and thank God in advance for the story you’ll tell in 2020. Write down your hopes, vision, and concerns. Throughout the year keep writing in your journal. Be detailed. Write the highs and the lows. The sad and the funny. Write as much as you can so at the end you can look back and remember accurately your unique story with God.
